Background: With the increasing availability of ultrasound (USG) and concern for malignancy, there has been significant increase in detection thyroid lesions. However, is no uniformity reporting pattern among radiologists, hence, such USG reports are mostly inconclusive to exclude malignancy. Therefore, most patients have undergo fine needle aspiration cytology or non-aspiration (FNNAC), which avoidable. The sonographic assessment nodule can provide alternative method this invasive modality diagnosis. need was felt establishing nodules risk stratification malignancy with aim reducing unnecessary FNNAC. Thyroid imaging data system (TIRADS) classification brings reduces ambiguity management patients. Aims Objectives: objective study perform comparative evaluation TIRADS cytopathological FNNAC Indian scenario. Materials Methods: Multicentric prospective conducted department radio diagnosis surgery at defence service hospitals Jaipur Chandimandir during period July 01, 2017–October 31, 2022. Results: Out 208 nodules, 28 (13.5%) turned out be malignant. percentage malignant higher scores 4 5. 1% 2%, respectively, 2 3 categories. common finding diffuse thyroiditis. There a correlation between findings scoring system. Conclusion: Our shows high degree nodules. Hence, used an effective tool avoiding procedures.
